without your past, you could never have arrived so wondrously and brutally, by design or some violent, exquisite happenstance

...here.

𝙱𝙴𝙼𝙾𝙽𝚂𝚃𝙴𝚁𝚂 !

Just like that, it felt as though no time had passed. Like they were the same people from twenty years ago, who fell into an easy banter and rhythm that decades apart could not have destroyed. All smugness from David’s face is wiped away as she runs towards him ( a vision he’s had a million times over and what overtakes every single line of his features is nothing but unadulterated joy

She’s within reach, and when he holds her she doesn’t disappear. It’s not a dream; no trick of a lonely mind. It’s real, and he can feel the familiar shape of her under his touch. David’s hand fall to her waist as if they’d never stopped being there, his entire face beaming even as she threatens his life once again. He wouldn’t have had it any other way.  ❛  There she is.  ❜   Awe envelopes his tone, looking as though she was a treasure he was only now laying his eyes on.

❛  I’ll keep that in mind.  ❜   It’s all he says before giving in to every urge in his body and closing the gap between them, claiming her lips in a KISS he’d been waiting to give her for years. He was drowning and she was air; his very lifeline. He pulls her closer to him, not meaning to let go of her ever again.

home, regina has always believed, is not a place, but the people that you love. the isle, with all its dark alleys and dangerous dives, never felt more comfortable than it did at this moment, the two of them a mess of emotions their hands trying to remember this feeling should they ever have to be deprived of it again.

when his lips meet her’s, she leans into him, a flower to the sun after the rain quits pouring and the clouds disappear. she lets herself get completely lost in him and she is so sure she will wake up in her cold, empty bed, but those thoughts quickly get pushed away. when they finally break, her eyes open slowly, dark brown irises appearing beneath thick lashes with an unwavering calmness. her armor falls down and clatters against the dirty floor, the two of them clicking together like two lost puzzle pieces that finally completed their picture.

‘   how …   ’   she’s still catching her breath, finding her balance. everything was happening so suddenly and her mind is foggy, questions racing alongside the sensory overload she was experiencing from being so close.    ‘    you’re here how are you here ? and what about evie ? have you met her ? is she okay ? is … is she here ?    ’    panicked words run together, queries piling up with each new one that slipped from her lips. the shock had finally subsided, morphing into an awareness she almost wished she could ignore.
